“I have considered him a hero since my birth. I always wanted to be like him. He was loved very much, he was very purposeful,” Liana Khachaturyan, the sister of Gagik Khachaturyan, who died in the Second Artsakh War says.
His friend Nare Hambardzumyan says that their friendship was like a movie, they had happy and difficult days together.
“Gagik was very dreamy. Our goal is to make his dreams come true. He dreamed of having a brand called “Amoka”, when he was a little boy, he called his mother by that name. He described his future wedding in such a way that we all dreamed that day would come and we would see how his thoughts come true,” Nare says.
“You have to live with every second, you have to live this moment, because it may happen that tomorrow may not be,” Gagik advised.
He was drafted into the army on 23 July, 2019, and served in Mekhakavan.
“When he had to go to the army, he said I would serve in the hottest spot. He talked to us very calmly, he did not say that he was on the battlefield, and we were sure that he was safe,” the sister tells.
His friend Tigran Kkhvejyan says that Gagik told his officer, “I know non of us will return, not me, but reward these guys.”
