Write down his name, I will still hear about him: Eduard Chichyan did not spare his life for the sake of the homeland

“I did not pay attention to Eduard’s birthday, but the doctor said, ‘The Great Patriotic War began on this day, write down the name of this child, I will still hear about him,'” Anna Ghaltakhchyan, mother of Eduard Chichyan, who died in the Artsakh war said.

Eduard Chichyan was drafted into the army on 10 July, 2019, he was a Junior Sergeant, a platoon commander. Served in Kapan. On the first day of the 44-day war unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh, 27 September, he was in Jrakan.

According to his aunt Zaruhi, Eduard’s birth was a great joy in their family. “All of us focused on him, we spared no effort to make him become a necessary person for the homeland, to be useful to his relatives, friends, and most importantly, to the homeland. No one thought that he could be so useful to his homeland,” he said.

Aunt says that Eduard was a dreamy boy, he loved successful people, he tried to be like them.

Eduard and his three friends were killed.

“Ed was very kind, did not wish anyone harm, always wanted everyone to be happy,” his friend Sevak Avushyan says.

Eduard Chichyan was born on 20 June, 2001. He died on 10 October, 2020 in the battles for the defense of the homeland.
