I am a shield which should protect the human kingdom, I will not come back and I will not wear a crown on my head: participant of the July and 44-day wars Haykaz Mkrtchyan
Haykaz Mkrtchyan, who died in the Artsakh war, was a chess player, and the commander of the crew in the military unit. He served in Tavush, took part in the battles of July 2020, due to his correct calculation they were able to inflict heavy damages on the enemy.
“He did not like to lose, he was especially hard on unjust defeats,” Haykaz’s mother, Anna Mkrtchyan says.
Haykaz Mkrtchyan was transferred to Artsakh on 14 October, he was wounded on 29 October, he fought for his life for 12 days, and died on 9 November.
Haykaz made a post on his Facebook page: “I am a shield which should keep and protect the human kingdom and I am a sword in the dark, I will not return and I will not wear a crown on my head.”
Haykaz Mkrtchyan was born on 30 October, 2000, and died on 9 November, 2020.
