According to the 22 December 1999 decision #767 of the RA Government, the following are considered as identity documents in the RA:
a) For the citizens of the Republic of Armenia passport, military card, the temporary identification certificate issued by the Republic of Armenia Police adjacent to the RA Government, for children under 16 the birth certificate.
b) For asylum seekers, the asylum seeker’s identity card, the Conventional Travel Document
c) For foreign citizens and stateless persons the passport of a foreign country profile, personal identification documents recognized internationally, special passport of the Republic of Armenia, residency card.
