The Armenian Young Lawyers Association NGO shall implement a series of event in Yerevan and in 4 Marzes of the RA in the framework of “Influencing the Women’s Rights Agenda” Project.
Since May 1, women are provided free legal advice on their rights. In addition, this program’s main emphasis is on employment discrimination sex-selective abortion issue, the issue of women’s participation in public life, as well as the property issues etc.
During the discussion Mr. Karen Zadoyan, the AYLA President spoke about the project and planned activities. He stressed the fact that in addition to the protection of the rights of the women and raising their awareness level, the project will apply on the men as well. “The project is aimed at the women’s rights, but it refers to everyone, we shall educate the men as well,” Mr. Zadoyan said. The heads of the AYLA regional Offices introduced the sectoral problems in marzes which they shall tackle and defined their activities.
