The Public Relations Department of the Penitentiary Service of the Republic of Armenia informed Iravaban.net that in the first half of 2015, 2037 proceedings were initiated by the Alternative Punishment Department of the Penal Department of the RA Ministry of Justice.
Particularly,
•593 fines have been charged worth 17.361.250 AMD.
•225 public servitudes according to the court decisions.
•278 proceedings about deprivation of the right to hold certain posts or to practice certain profession.
•Supervising measures against the 843 convicts when not applying the punishment conditionally.
•Proceedings against 88 convicts concerning the exemption from punishment on parole according to court decisions.
•10 proceedings on records of the convicts upon the courts’ decisions on the delay of sentence.
