A criminal case is initiated in Shirak Regional Department of the Investigative Committee of the RA for a banditry attack on the fact of the murder of the Gyumri citizens Alvard and Qnarik Shahumyans and banditry abduction of their property, informs the Investigative Committee of the RA.
According to the preliminary data, on 18 April 2015, at approximately 22.00 the criminal has entered the apartment of Shahumyans and caused injuries in different parts of Alvard Shahumyan and her mothers’ bodies with a cutting stabbing instrument, thus causing injuries incompatible with life.
A criminal case is initiated in the Shirak Regional Department according to Article 104, Part 2, Points 1 and 8 and Article 175, Part 2, Points 2.3.4 of the RA criminal Code.
The necessary investigative and procedural steps are undertaken to ensure the comprehensive and complete investigation of the case.
Samples are taken from the scene of the incident and an expertise is assigned.
Several people have been questioned, and searches have been carried out.
The appropriate subdivisions of police have been ordered to take the necessary steps to find probable witnesses and to reveal the identity of the person(s) who allegedly committed the crime
