Today, Aram Harutyunyan was released by the position of Kotayq marz governor due to transfer to another job. According to another government project, the current mayor of Abovyan City, Karapet Guloyan will be appointed in this position.
After today’s session of the executive, David Harutyunyan, the Minister – Chief of Staff of the RA Government, offered to conditionally include the appointment in the agenda of the session, if the RA President confirms the new appointment.
By the way, Article 88.1 of the RA Constitution provides that “Marzpets [marz governors] shall be appointed to and removed from office by Government decision. Such Government decisions shall be ratified by the President of the Republic.”
