When talking about the rule of law, the n it is based on free, transparent and fair elections, said EaP CSF Co-Chair Krzysztof Bobinski, in the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum of Euronest Parliamentary Assembly in Yerevan.
Mr. Bobinski mentioned that very often blind eye is turned to violations at the elections, which is unacceptable, because the delegates that elected in such unjustly way cannot be involved in law making activities. Krzysztof Bobinski urged everyone to remain faithful to the principles of fair and transparent elections and refrain from playing “political games” with it.
He also referred to the case when after the presidential elections in Armenia, a group of activists hindered the press conference of OSCE representatives and demanded to stop “staging”. According to him, violations are detrimental to the reputation of the European Union and other European institutions.
