Information and Public Relations Department of the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations informs that today on 200 January, at 14:00, the Award Ceremony in the framework of the Council of Europe project “Support to Consolidating Local Democracy in Armenia” will be held in “Sis” conference hall of “Marriott Armenia” Yerevan hotel. The awards will be provided to the winner communities. Armen Yeritsyan the RA TAES Minister and Alfonso Zardi, the Head of Local and Regional Democracy and Good Governance Department at Council of Europe will hold welcome speeches.
One of the pilot programs on good governance of the Centre of Expertise for Local Government Reform of the Council of Europe was launched in Armenia in 2014. The objective was to reveal, publicly recognize and disseminate in the communities of the RA the best practices in the following three areas: Promoting civic participation, pre-school and extracurricular education and development of local arts and crafts.
The RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations implements the best Practice Program in the framework of the“Support to Consolidating Local Democracy in Armenia” Project implemented by the Council of Europe and with financial support of the Government of Denmark.
