Another Earthquake this time at Armenian – Azerbaijanian Boarder

Yesterday, on 7 January, we informed that at 10:44 local time a 3.1-magnitude earthquake took place on the border of Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh, the earthquake had 4 points in epicenter zone. Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations of the RA informed.

Today the, the same source informs that on 8 January at 03:42 they received information from the Seismic Protection Service informing that at 03:02 local time a 3.9-magnitude earthquake took place on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan, the earthquake had 4-5 points in epicenter zone. According to the source the geographic coordinates are 40.34° North latitude and 45.960° East longitude. The hypocenter was at 10 km depth. The Earthquake was felt in the territory of the RA, specifically in Kajaran City – 5 points, Kapan and Sisian cities – 3-4 points. The earthquake was followed by an aftershock of 3.3 magnitudes. The aftershock was felt in the territory of the RA, particularly in Kajaran, 4 points, Kapan and Sisian cities of 2-3 points.
