The Information and Public Relations Department of Yerevan Municipality informed to Iravaban.net that Mayor Taron Margaryan visited the reconstructed section of the road from Arshakunyats avenue till Shirak Street, which has 1.3 km length and 21 meters width.
According to the source, during the official opening ceremony of the road, the Mayor was informed about the details of the project. The responsible officials reported that the surface of around 27000 square meters.of asphalting was carried out. Due to the widening of the roadway, the 4-6 lane traffic is ensured. A separate lane was built to serve the population of the surrounding district. The oncoming traffic lanes were separated and new sidewalks were built.
The source also reports that the new section of the537 meters long and 8-11 meters wide road which joins Vilnius Street to the 8th and 9th Nor Nork Districts was put into operation as well.
