The Information Service Center of the National Security Service of the RA informs that on 16 December as a result of operational intelligence measures of the NSS the lecturer of the “Pre-military training and physical education” Department of Gyumri State Pedagogical Institute (GSPI) named after Mikael Nalbandian, lieutenant colonel Tigran Madoyan was arrested at the moment of taking bribe.
It turned out that Tigran Madoyan requested and received bribe of 60.000AMD from the 5th year student of the same university, currently the soldier of the military regiment “N” of the Frontier Troops Ruben Gevorgyan. The Investigation department of the National Security Service of the RA initiated a criminal case. Preliminary investigation is in process.
Note: The suspect or the accused of the alleged offense is deemed innocent unless his or her innocence is proved by virtue of the effective court verdict in the manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia.
