Second stage of interviews for Armenia`s judge at the ECHR was launched. Right now the Competition Commission is interviewing one of the candidates – Advocate Vahe Grigoryan.
The interviews take place at the Library hall of the Court of Cassation. During the first round the following candidates have been interviewed: Armen Harutyunyan (Regional Representative of the UN Human Rights Commissioner in Central Asia, Temporary (ad interim) head of the UN Mission of Human Rights Monitoring in Ukraine, Doctor of Law), Arayik Ghazaryan (Member of the “Rule of Law” NGO and “Forum” Rights Center, Professor of the Academy of Justice NCSO), Nelly Harutyunyan (Head of International legal Relations Division of the RA General prosecutor`s Office), Vigen Kocharyan (Professor, Head of the European and International Law Department at YSU), Lisa Grigoryan (Judge at the Court of General Jurisdiction of Erebuni and Nubarashen Communities of Yerevan). One of the candidates Hakob Karakhanyan didn`t come to the interview, and thus was left out of the competition. 3 days are envisaged for the interviews, and if the interviews do not finish today, they will be continued tomorrow.
