The court of general Jurisprudence of the Syunik Region, presided by the judge Napoleon Ohanyan, declared the judgement on the case of Davit Vardanyan, son of Yuri Vardanyan, former RA Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, currently RA Ambassador to Georgia.
Davit Vardanyan was convicted to 4 year and 6 months of imprisonment with the attributes of the 2nd part of Article 215 and 3rd part of Article 268 of the RA Criminal Code.
Let us recall that Davit Vardanyan has been charged with the 3rd part of RA Criminal Code Article 268. Thus, “Illegal manufacture, processing, procurement, keeping, delivery or supply of narcotic drugs or psychotropic materials”, and with the 2nd part of Article 215 – contraband of narcotic drugs. First one of the mentioned articles defines an imprisonment of 2 to 6 years, and the second one from 2 to 4 years.
