Davit Khachatryan, the accused in soldier Lyuks Stepanyan’s murder, has sewed his mouth as a signof protest. Yerem Sargsyan the attorney of the accused informed Iravaban.net. He noted that he had not met davit yet, however he had talked to his parents.
“Davit is rather decisive. And he did not find other way to combat these injustice but to sew his mouth, the attorney said.” During the last court session prosecutor Arthur Zakaryan introduced the accusatory speech demanding a sentence of 18 years for Davit Khachatryan.
The defendant in his turn made a statement mentioning that he was on a trial for something that he had not done. “Try me for what I have done! I am going on a hunger strike from this moment.” Davit Khachatryan wrote an application with the same demand to President Serzh Sargsyan, to the Court of the First instance of Tavush marz, to the Human Rights defender of the RA and to the RA Prosecutor General.
