Today during the trial on the case of soldier Lyuks Stepanyan`s murder accusing Arthur Zakaryan made a speech. He demanded from the Court to convict Davit Khachatryan to 18-year imprisonment.
The defendant in his turn made an announcement that he was being judged for what he hadn`t done. “Judge me for what I did. And I announce a hunger strike from this moment on”.
This statement of the defendant created a tense atmosphere in the court. Lyuks Stepanyan`s relatives were not content with the punishment suggested by the prosecutor. They required life sentence.
