“It is Important for NGOs to Have Resources to Manage at Their Discretion for Targeted Purposes: Artak Kirakosyan”

This article is the latest in the series “Innovative Financing Mechanisms for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).” The series is implemented within the framework of the “Strong Civil Society” program with financial support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The series aims to study and present effective models of CSO financing, raise public awareness about this issue, and contribute to the development of civil society in Armenia.

Artak Kirakosyan, President of the “Civil Society Institute” NGO, spoke about both the 1% law in different countries and the possibility of its implementation in the Republic of Armenia.

“I believe that an initiative such as the 1 percent can support the development of non-governmental organizations. The idea is that the citizen gives the 1 percent to the organization which, in their opinion, will work well,” notes Kirakosyan.
