The court of Azerbaijan has extended the detention period of Arkady Ghukasyan, the former President of Nagorno-Karabakh. The prosecutor proposed to extend the measure of restraint against Arkady Ghukasyan for another 5 months, with justification of the need of continuation of the preliminary investigation in a major criminal case. The court granted the motion.
In addition, the court received a proposal to extend the detention period of another person in custody in Baku, whose name, however, the Azerbaijani media has not mentioned.
