Russia has always been for a peaceful solution to the Ukraine problem, and in 2014 Russia did not start this war. The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin said at the meeting with the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko.
According to him, Ukraine refused the Istanbul agreements under the pressure from the West.
“Russia is ready to work constructively in the direction of the settlement the crisis with Ukrain, but without imposing on it positions that are not based on reality. It is impossible to defeat Russia. The rival come to a deadlock by refusing to negotiate in the hope of defeating Russia on the battlefield,” the Russian President said.
He added that the statements according to which Russia can attack the West are nonsense made by local ruling circles to justify spending on the Ukraine.
