Armenia no longer has any expectations from the Collective Security Treaty Organization. Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of the RA Security Council, made this statement on the air of the Public TV Company.
“We do not have any expectations from the CSTO, because in September 2022 or before that, when there were large-scale attacks on the Republic of Armenia (referring to Azerbaijani aggression: ed.), we turned to the CSTO expecting help to protect our sovereign territory. We did not receive any adequate response,” Grigoryan said.
According to him, it was after this that the Armenian side realized that no help or support should be expected.
Grigoryan noted that when the organization announced its readiness to send a mission to Armenia, the Armenian side had one question: where exactly will the CSTO observers be stationed, and where does the Armenian border cross? There was no clear answer.
Armen Grigoryan also denied the claims that the organization offered military-technical assistance to Armenia.
