An agreement to hold the next meeting in the near future was reached: The statement of the Azerbaijani side

The staff of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, made a statement, the Azerbaijani media write.

“On 21 September, 2023, Ramin Mammadov, Responsible for Relations with the Armenian Residents of Karabakh, met with the representatives of Artsakh, Sergey Martirosyan and Davit Melkumyan, at the invitation of the President’s office of Azerbaijan.

At the meeting, which took place in a constructive and positive atmosphere, discussions on restoration of infrastructure, reintegration of Armenian residents living in Karabakh on the basis of the Constitution and laws of Azerbaijan were held.

In the near future, it is planned to supply fuel, providing heating for kindergartens and schools, as well as providing emergency medical aid and firefighting needs, providing humanitarian support.

An agreement was reached to hold the next meeting in the near future.”

It should be noted that the Republic of Artsakh has not issued an official statement yet.

Let’s remind that on 20 September, the Staff of the President of Nagorno-Karabakh issued a statement, according to which the authorities accept the proposal of the command of the Russian peacekeeping mission regarding the ceasefire. “The issues of reintegration, ensuring the rights and security of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as ensuring the livelihood of the population of Nagorno-Karabakh within the framework of the constitution of Azerbaijan, according to the agreement reached, will be discussed between the representatives of the local Armenian population and the central authorities of Azerbaijan on 21 September, 2023, at the meeting to be held in Yevlakh and subsequent meetings.”
