Andranik Tevanyan, who heads the electoral list of the “Mother Armenia” Alliance, participated in the elections of the Yerevan Council of Elders.
Before that, in a briefing with journalists, he announced that their task is not to become mayor, but to make a complete change of power. “We are in the midst of choosing between war and peace,” he said.
Speaking about possible post-election developments, he noted that it all depends on the situation. To the question, would he work as a member of the Council of Elders if he does not become mayor, Tevanyan said, “I do not think about that, we are going to a complete change of power. We are not interested in the mandate of the Yerevan Council of Elders.”
He reminded that he had put down his parliamentary mandate before the elections.
