The Minister of Defense of Iran, Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani, has stated that there will be no war in the region, and the Islamic Republic’s position on regional geopolitics is clear, the irna.ir website writes.
Ashtiani made this statement in the framework of the government session in Tehran on Wednesday, commenting on the tension between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
After the last meetings at the headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces, the Islamic Republic announced its firm position: the country will not accept any regional geopolitical changes, the Minister emphasized. The developments in the Caucasus region do not predict any special event, the Iranian Defense Minister concluded.
