The trial of Georgia’s third president, Mikheil Saakashvili, took place today, during which the former president lost consciousness. He asked the judge to announce a break.

Earlier, Judge Badri Kochlamazishvili said that the speech of the defendant should not contain political statements, to which Saakashvili replied:

“I am Mikheil Saakashvili, what does it mean not to make a political statement?”
