Russia has destroyed Azeri fighter jets in Ukraine

The Russian military destroyed three Azerbaijani MiG-29 military planes being repaired in Ukraine. The website of the Turkish “Yeniakit” newspaper writes about this, referring to the Russian press, Ermenihaber.am reports.

The Azeri MiG-29 fighter jets were reportedly at the Lviv Aircraft Repair Plant owned by the Ukrainian military-industrial company Ukroboronprom, which, along with other Ukrainian military facilities, was targeted by Russian Space Forces.

It is noted that at least three such planes belonging to the Azerbaijani Armed Forces are seen in the photos published on the occasion of the meeting of “Ukroboronprom” last month. They are said to have become unusable as a result of rocket fire by Russian forces at a factory in Lviv.

It should be reminded that in the early morning on 24 February, Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered a message announcing the decision to launch a special military operation in Donbas.

“Circumstances require us to take decisive and immediate action. The Donbass People’s Republics have appealed to Russia. I have decided to launch a special military operation in this regard,” Putin said in a televised address to Russian citizens.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that from 5:00 am (7:00 am Yerevan time) on Thursday, the Russian Armed Forces carried out intensive attacks on Ukrainian military facilities and airports.
