The goalkeeper of “Pyunik” fought with 2 cannons against the enemy: Gagik was a participant in the July battles as well

“Sometimes I called him an extraterrestrial. He was different in his way of thinking and behavior,” Rita Davtyan, the mother of Gagik Abrahamyan, who died in the Second Artsakh War says.

The goalkeeper of “Pyunik” was a future director. There were many goals and dreams. He dreamed of having his own football club.

The mother says that her son was an extremist, and if he did anything, he would do well.

“Recently I found his notebook, he wrote movie plots to shoot, one was about the April war,” his mother says.

Gagik served in Lusakert for 6 months, then moved to Ijevan. He was taking part in hostilities in Artsakh since 1 October.

“It was his wish: before the war he applied to be transferred to Artsakh. He was in the post during the July battles as well,” the mother says.

He was a junior sergeant, artillery commander, fought in Mataghis and Martakert. He was awarded the “Combat Service” medal. He was awarded the “Brave Fighter” Badge for participation in the July battles.

Gagik Abrahamyan was born on 12 January, 2001. He died on 28 October, 2020 in the battles for the defense of the homeland.
