Ara Zohrabyan, Chairman of the “Zartonk” (Awakening) National Christian Party, made a closing speech.

“The former government is the opposition today; the former opposition is the government. That is, what we do will return to us. I would like to remind you of the recent events of Serzh Sargsyan’s resignation. Imagine if he continued to run for office as prime minister after resigning, would the popular pressure have eased? The resignation is for that very reason, the isolation of a person from his position as a result of the people’s pressure.

For example, I do not imagine that in 2018 it was possible to weaken the passions during Serzh Sargsyan’s tenure, but it happened, that is, he did not remain in office.

We think that Nikol Pashinyan could not be the acting Prime Minister after 25 April,” Ara Zohrabyan said in his speech.

According to him, the voter lists do not reflect the real picture, there are exaggerated voter lists.

“We were not given the opportunity to get acquainted with the number of public servants, the number of servicemen, because this number was enough for us to make a comparison. We were not allowed to have information about the number of polling stations without electricity. Not everyone has been reported in the press. The reasons and the duration were important,” Ara Zohrabyan said.

He said that the question for them is President Armen Sarkissian, who was elected by the previous government, is he former or not.

“Does Nikol Pashinyan have compromising evidence towards him, a lever through which he is deprived of the opportunity to exercise the powers of the President of the Republic, and shows inactivity during important events?”
