Gegharkunik Governor Gnel Sanosyan signed a decision on 1 April, which reads:

“To form a commission to organize and carry out the process of vaccinations against coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Gegharkunik region of the Republic of Armenia, including organizing public awareness activities.

The commission must implement:

1. The process of microplanning the implementation of vaccines against COVID-19 and submitting regular reports to the Governor of Gegharkunik and the Ministry of Health,
2. Monitoring of the COVID-19 vaccination process, daily discussions to identify problems and implementation of measures to address them,
3. The process of monitoring and responding to post-vaccination adverse events
4. Organizing and conducting consultations for medical workers
5. Public awareness activities through local media,” the decision reads.
