“AstraZeneca” vaccine against Covid19 is not currently used in Armenia. The Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan said this today, on 18 March, in a conversation with journalists after the end of the government session.
She noted that negotiations are underway to obtain them, as “AstraZeneca” vaccines are used all over the world; there have been suspensions in some countries, in some batches. There is no such vaccine in Armenia now, but it is not ruled out that they will be ordered.
As for the “Sputnik V” vaccine, the Minister mentioned, “Vaccinations have already started. We are vaccinating citizens at risk, medical workers, yes, still in small quantities, but it is in progress.
Anahit Avanesyan noted that the ministry carries out post-vaccination control, no cases of acute side effect have been registered.
Currently, 12 medical institutions are focused on the treatment of citizens infected with coronavirus.
