The most precious thing in life is to live։ Shant was killed on the day of the first ceasefire by the first blow of the enemy

Shant Navoyan was killed on 10 October, when a ceasefire was first declared, minutes after the ceasefire, from the first blow of the enemy.

“The commander said that everyone was very happy that there was a ceasefire, they congratulated each other, but the joy lasted just for 17-18 minutes, the first blow was in their direction of; only two of the 11 survived,” Shant’s father, Gurgen Navoyan says.

“We sent Shant to the army very happy that his lot was Kapan, we were a little calmer. But they held military exercises twice a year in the Jabrayil region, and when the war started, they were already there,” Shant’s mother, Elen Navoyan says.

The conscript managed to write down his thoughts during the war. “His notebook became a war chronicle for us,” Shant’s mother says. “Red rain fell, the first projectile falling in my direction hit the pomegranate tree,” Shant wrote.

“I’m kind of tired mom, let me go to sleep.” These were the last words that Shant said during last phone call to his mother.

Shant Gurgen Navoyan was born on 14 December, 2001 and died on 10 October, 2020.
