“We do not have the right to rest so much, not to work so much. The challenges facing our country are such that we have to work hard, this is unequivocal. The first thing I did after becoming a minister was to ask what the chances are of reducing the number of weekends this New Year,” Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan said in an interview with Public TV.
He noted that the draft will be introduced in January, which will reduce the number of New Year holidays.
Vahan Kerobyan also said that the ministry is against extending the quarantine for 6 months.
“In fact, the speaker of the Ministry of Health was in a hurry, because that decision was not discussed with the Ministry of Economy. It is not a decision, it is still a proposal, we will discuss it, and only in case of very weighty arguments we will be able to agree with some points of that proposal. But the fact that the economy needs oxygen the most now is unequivocal. We must do everything to make the economy work as openly as possible,” he said.
