Deputy Minister of Education and Science Zhanna Andreasyan wrote on her Facebook page:
“The latest report of the Human Capital Index, based on the data of 2015, stated that 12-year education in Armenia is in fact equal to the results of 8-year education, ie the result that our students showed at the end of 12-year education was equal to 8-year education.
Already after this report, in December 2020, the latest results of the international assessment of mathematics were published, which show that Armenia has made about 50 points of progress since 2011, which is equal to about one and a half years in terms of education. We are one of the countries that have made the most progress. But even in these conditions, our twelve-year education is approaching 9.5 years. If the children study for twelve years, then the result should be proportional.”
