Hovhannes Grigoryan was killed in the Artsakh war, he was a resident of the Artsakh city of Martuni. Hovhannes volunteered to go to war. He served in the army in 2014-2016, he participated in the April war. Hovhannes’s girlfriend told Iravaban.net about her boyfriend.
“I can tell and praise my Hovhannes endlessly, because he deserves it. We are both from the city of Martuni in Artsakh. We often met by chance in the streets of Martuni. We started communicating in 2017, he noticed my being sad and self-contained and tried to make me happy. I must say that he succeeded, the short years we spent together are the happiest for me,” Hovhannes Grigoryan’s girlfriend, Elen Ohanyan says.
She says that they had already imagined the future with their son and daughter, they had even chosen the names of their children. They had many dreams and goals.
“I am sure that all the residents of our city are proud to have known my Hovhannes. During the war it was really hard to call each other, but he never left me and his relatives alone. Every time he called, he said that everything would be fine. “The last time I spoke to him was on October 28, and the last words were ‘I love you,'” says Ellen, adding that she will do everything in her power to preserve the honor and memory of Hovhannes and all the other martyred boys.
