73 out of those infected with COVID19, are currently on artificial respiration. The Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan stated this today, on 9 November, in a briefing with journalists. He noted that at the moment there is no shortage of devices, they have made achievements, they still continue to do so.
“Our problem is not a shortage of equipment, but a global shortage of oxygen. It cannot be moved or imported for long. The oxygen capacity of our country is working; we are making a titanic effort to avoid disruption, we are trying to acquire new capacity. Of course, we expected growth, but not fourfold, fivefold. We have bought four large oxygen stations, which are now on the way,” the minister said.
According to him, everything possible is being done. For example, in terms of bed space, it is impossible to do more. The only way to reduce home deaths is to have fewer deaths in general. Further spread of the disease should be prevented through joint efforts.
He also referred to the cases of being infected for the second time.
“The latest figures were presented to me last night, 343 cases of double treatment registered in our system,” the minister said.
