Issues related to the implementation of the “Old Yerevan” historical-architectural environment program were discussed during a working meeting chaired by Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan and the RA Minister of Education and Science Arayik Harutyunyan.
The leadership of the State Committee on Urban Development under the Government of the Republic of Armenia, the author of the project Levon Vardanyan and other officials took part in the consultation.
The participants discussed issues related to the elaboration of the complete package of the construction project of the “Old Yerevan” complex and its perspective approval.
The “Old Yerevan” historical-architectural environment is planned to be implemented in the territory of the main avenue, with an area of about 2.2 hectares, in the district bounded by Abovyan, P. Buzand, E. Koghbatsi and Aram streets. The main fund of the historical structures includes is the originals of the 19th century and early 20th century residential houses, combined with the inner yards and gardens.
