Citizens continue to ignore the rules to prevent and spread the new coronavirus.

Observations by the Ombudsman, social networking sites and mass media outlets show that people continue to defy the demand to leave home without urgent need and spend much time in gardens and yards.

It should be borne in mind that the spread of the new coronavirus in Armenia has caused problems of national importance, which are primarily related to the protection of the health of the entire population. They are related to the security of the country (economic, legal, etc.).

In this difficult situation we need solidarity and mutual respect, trust in one another. These factors are important collateral that can provide a comprehensive coronavirus prevention solution with a concerted effort.

To overcome this responsible cycle of objective causes and challenges, each of us must fulfill his or her full responsibility in accordance with the status assigned to us.

The return to normal life is possible with the requirement to stay home and abide the preventive rules.

The human rights defender calls on citizens not to ignore the danger of the new coronavirus spreading and to stay at home.
