Passengers of Cars that crossed the Iranian border are Armenian Citizens: The Latter had no Specific Symptoms of Coronavirus

It is written in the Facebook’s Armenian domain the Armenian-Iranian border is open to cars. One user reported that two Iranian cars, with Iranian passengers, were passing through a section called “Tasi Voloranner”. The post suggested that after the government’s decision to close the border with Iran, it could still be crossed unhindered.

“Information Checking Center” launched by the government reported this.

“First, let’s note that according to the Government’s March 2 decision, Iranian citizens were not allowed to enter Armenia and the RA citizens’ exit to Iran. The decision did not prohibit the return of RA citizens from the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia.

According to the RA Health and Labor Inspectorate:

Since 1 March, 2020, three cars have crossed the Armenian-Iranian border. The first one on 13 March, the second one today, on 14 March. The third car now is at the border and passengers are passing the necessary checks. All persons crossing the border are RA citizens, as evidenced by the RA passport. None of them had any suspected symptoms of infectious disease.

Citizens have undergone necessary external examination, thermometry, and health status check-ups at Meghri medical checkpoint of HLI. Address cards of their place of residence have been filled in which then are provided to the local polyclinic in the place of their residence for further consideration of the health status of these persons,” the statement said.
