The Government does not see the Need to delay Classes in Educational Institutions

Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan inquired with Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Arayik Harutyunyan before approving the government’s agenda about the possibility of delay of the classes in educational establishments.

Arayik Harutyunyan noted that the issue will be discussed. He also said that school attendance is 90 percent and a little less in the regions.

Deputy Prime Minister Avinyan replied: “Our cases are very localized, very specific, and there are people who were under control from the very beginning. There is no need to discuss such a question yet, no need to panic. We work closely with all the ministries involved on a daily basis, and if such a question or need arises, we will make the decision during a day. In the closed part of the Government session we will return to this question as well.
