Arsen Torosyan’s Appeal related to Coronavirus

Health Minister Arsen Torosyan issued a statement saying:

“Given the situation caused by the New Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the world, we urge:

Avoid traveling to the following countries: Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Japan, China, Iran, South Korea.

When planning business trips abroad, avoid traveling to these countries as well, and also conducts business trips only in case of extreme necessity.

Citizens who have returned from the mentioned countries – avoid contacts and isolate themselves during 14 days.

Employers to provide remote work from home to returning workers from these countries.

Avoid organizing international events in Armenia with the participation of people from these countries.

!! If you have returned to Armenia in the last 14 days and have symptoms of fever, cough and difficulty with breathing, call the 24-hour Operating Call Center on 060 83 83 00 or the Ministry of Health Hotline at 8003.

We also urge:

Avoid contact with patients with respiratory infections; if possible, use personal protective equipment (masks),

Wash your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds, especially before eating.

If you have symptoms of influenza, do not take self-medication, visit the doctor. “

At the same time the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also appealed to the citizens of Armenia in Italy, urging them to stop their trips and return to Armenia.
