The Corruption Prevention Committee convened a session on 26 November to discuss the election of the Chair of the Committee.
Haykuhi Harutyunyan, representative of the “Bright Armenia” faction, and Edgar Shatiryan, representative of the “My Step” faction, nominated themselves as candidates for the Chair of the Committee.
As a result of the voting, the committee decided to elect Haykuhi Harutyunyan as Chair.
It should be noted that according to the Law on the Corruption Prevention Committee, the Committee elects the Chairman of the Committee from among its members by a majority vote of its members.
We had earlier reported that on 19 November, the National Assembly had elected the members of the CPC.
