The Court of General Jurisdiction of Kotayk Region is considering the criminal case brought against A. Chobanyan. On 6 November 2011, at 21:00 p.m. the accused had a dispute with H. Naghdalyan, the husband of his sister for beating and humiliating her.

At 23:00 p.m. they went by an unknown taxi to the pond situated in Pargevashen district of Hachn city. They continued their dispute, and A. Chobanyan hit H. Naghdalyan with a knife, with the intention to willfully deprive his life, and pushed and threw him into the water-pipe of “Arzni” hydroelectric power station. On 22.03.2012 H. Naghdalyan’s body was found in the pond of “Arzni” hydroelectric power station.

Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty by the court verdict lawfully entered into force as prescribed by Criminal Procedure Code.
