On 21 April, Shabat.am website published “Beneficial Owners and Political Roofs: The image of the Media Field in Armenia”, which spreads/distributes false information about the beneficial owner of the Iravaban.net news website.

For shabat.am we inform that Iravaban.net independent news website was established and operated by the Armenian Lawyers’ Association since 2012.

The information above is public and is available on the Iravaban.net independent website at https://iravaban.net/about-us-2, and shabat.am had the opportunity to receive and publish true information.

We demand to publish the following text in the descriptions of the videos published in shabat.am’s material “Beneficial Owners and Political Roofs: The image of the Media Field in Armenia” on YouTube and Facebook pages:

“DENIAL: With this we inform that Iravaban.net independent news website has been established and operated by the Armenian Lawyers Association, and all information about Iravaban.net published in the video is misinformation.”
