During the rally, Nikol Pashinyan urged President Sargsyan not to sign the controversial bill passed by the National Assembly today.
In case if the President does not sign it, Nikol Pashinyan will resign from his post. “So that no one will think that I’m clinging to the post of Prime Minister.”
Within seven days, the National Assembly should elect a new prime minister, if the NA does not elect a new prime minister it will have another 8 days to do it. If not, then the National Assembly shall be dissolved and extraordinary elections shall take place. If the NA elects the prime minister, there will be no extraordinary elections.
He also noted that the people will not allow the National Assembly to elect a new prime minister.
