On November 10 took place the ”Armenia Model European Union Conference 2012” in Yerevan. The conference was organized by AEGEE-Yerevan Youth NGO and the EU Delegation to Armenia.

This new interactive youth project will be a political simulation conference of the European Parliament activities concentrating on the topic ”EU Policy towards the Eastern Partnership Countries; Advantages and Challenges.” More than 100 Armenian and international activists were selected through a competitive procedure from 250 applicants. The participants have already been divided to the respective political groups which are represented in the real parliament. The conference consisted of two parts during which the progress of Armenia and Ukraine in the framework of the EU Eastern Partnership Program was discussed. In each part the participants presented their reports and then the discussions about the reports and suggested resolutions started. The purpose of the Model was political activeness and to improve the knowledge of the youth about the EU.
