Each lawyer should have a general understanding of different aspects of their field. This is the opinion of Armanoush Ghazaryan, a student of the School on Practical Skills for Young Lawyers.
She believes that the visits in the scope of the school are really important from this aspect.
Students of the school attended the Chamber of Advocates, the Administrative Court of Appeal and the Cassation Court, the last meeting was in the Notary Chamber. There are planned meetings at the First Instance Courts and the Criminal Court of Appeal.
Our interviewee noted that “visits were interesting for me because the selected institutions which we visited were important and at the same time we received knowledge and practical experience. I am satisfied with all the visits and if we continue at this pace I will be satisfied.”
When asked what flaws were in the system, the interviewee responded “I don’t see any flaws yet. My expectations were met. At the university we receive different types of education – here it was practical experience.”
In today’s instructional period, attorney Arnold Vardanyan presented the audience with legal regulations concerning the proof that exists in the current Criminal Procedure Code. He also presented evidence available on the new draft of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
In addition the students had a meeting with Karen Zadoyan, President of the “Legal Alliance” Law Firm. They discussed their proposals, as well as the possibility for organization of an additional advanced training course for the students.
