According to the RA President’s Decree of 8 January 2017, a number of judges were released from their posts and appointed as judges in other courts.
The Chairman of the RA Cassation Court Arman Mkrtumyan introduced the newly appointed judges to the Chairmen and judges of the relevant courts.
In particular, Judges Naira Avetisyan, Sargis Yeritsyan and Armen Khachatryan, were introduced at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction of Ajapnyak and Davitashen Administrative Districts of Yerevan City. Judges Davit Grigoryan, Rubik Mkhitaryan and Marine Melkonyan, were introduced the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction of Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeytun Administrative Districts of Yerevan City. Judge Lilit Sargsyan was introduced the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction of Malatia-Sebastia Administrative Districts of Yerevan City. Judges Gagik Khandanyan and Slavik Torosyan at the RA Civil Court of Appeals.
The Chairman of the RA Cassation Court congratulated the newly appointed judges, highly appreciated their knowledge and experience, and expressed hope that they will show a responsible approach to realization of their new mission.
The Chairman of the RA Cassation Court Arman Mkrtumyan, Chairmen of the Chambers of of the RA Cassation Court Davit Avetisyan and Yervan Khundkaryan, Head of the RA Judicial Department Karen Piloyan, and Head of the Staff of the RA Council of Justice conducted working meetings in the above mentioned courts, referred to the current challenges and problems, as well as discussed a number of issues of the judicial system.
