Advocate Aleksander Sirunyan will no longer participate in the activities of the Council of the Chamber of Advocates, he has resigned.
“I do not have time to participate in the activities of the council, I have missed a lot of sessions. 81 sessions have taken place this year and I have missed 26 sessions, the law provides if the excuse is valid, there is no problem. But I am not such a person, even if it is valid, what sense does it make if fail to attend half of the activities? It is much better if the working people come,” Mr. Sirunyan said during the talk with us.
Notably, the advocate has also missed the famous session of the council that took place on 26 October this year and where the question of the tension in the advocates’ community was discussed.
Reminding this fact to Mr. Sirunyan, we asked whether his resignation is in any way connected to the disagreements that have recently activated. The lawyer answered that such a thing is excluded and claimed that the reason is the workload.
