What Deeds are Considered Terrorism According to RA Criminal Code?

Pursuant to Article 217, Part 1, of RA Criminal Code:

Terrorism, i.e. committal of explosion, arson or actions causing significant human losses, or other actions inflicting significant damage to property or actions causing danger to public, or threat of such actions, if these actions were committed with the purpose of violation of public security, intimidation of the population or exerting pressure on decision making by a state official, as well as, for the purpose of fulfilling another demand of the perpetrator, is punished with imprisonment for the term of 5 to 10 years

The following are types of terrorism:

a) Political that is connected with a struggle for the government and is directed to the political opponents or the eliminating their followers.

b) State that is decided by the eliminating demand of their inhabitants (e.g. Stalin repressions).

c) Religious that is done by the purpose of spreading the dominance of own religion.

d)Mercenary that is directed to the persons who interfere to get some illegal material goods against commercial colleagues or opponents.

e) Criminal that is directed to the elimination of opponents, conflicted guilty groups.

f) Military that is directed to weaken the opponent’s during military actions.

g) National that is the supersede of other nations, confiscation of their property as well as the maintenance of national dignity.
