There are rumors among the drivers that the Police has already started imposing fines for driving the cars with tinted windshields.
Notably, last week the Traffic Police urged the drivers to adjust the transparency of their vehicles’ glasses to the requirements set in point 16 of the Decision N289-N of the RA Government of 24 February 2005 on “Approving Technical Regulations for the use of safe Glasses in the Surface Transport.”
Further the TP clarified that this refers to the front windshield. The Chief of Legal Department mentioned that the TP would make warnings.
The warning phase is not yet over. Citizens’ concerns, that the enhanced services will be launched today and police will fine motorists, are irrelevant at this moment.
The Public Relations and Information department of the RA Police informs that they have carried out monitoring of the current situation, which shows that most of the drivers adhered to the calls of the police and took off the tints. The police also inform that the drivers will be informed about the launch of the specific activities three days before.
“So our concern is not making an administrative act, but to ensure safety,” stated the Police.
